Miva Merchant
Miva Merchant is a multi-page fully web administered shopping cart. You must purchase a license to use this. You will be able to install the proper files into your WWW Directory after you purchase a license for your domain and receive a license number.

Note: If you are installing version 4.14 or higher, you must use the extention .mvc instead of .mv. Please change the appropriate links below, Versions 4.13 and lower use the .mv extention.

Basic Setup
Using your web browser, do the following:

  • Go to: http://your-domain.com/Merchant2/setup.mv
  •  Fill in the information.  You will need a valid license to proceed.
  •  After filling in the basic info, you will be asked to verify paths.

    •  Non-secure URL to Miva Merchant:
     http://your-domain.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?

     Secure URL to Miva Merchant:
     https://machine.safe-order.net/cgi-bin/smiva?userid/Merchant2/merchant.mv+

     Secure URL to Miva Merchant Administration:
     https://machine.safe-order.net/cgi-bin/smiva?userid/Merchant2/admin.mv+

     Root Directory for Graphics:
     /Merchant2/

     Base URL for Graphics:
     http://www.yourdomain.com/Merchant2/

     Secure Base URL for Graphics:
     https://machine.safe-order.net/userid/Merchant2/

     Mail Server:
     your-domain.com

     Module Paths:
     In administration click on modules, then paths, and enter the following:
     Root Directory for Modules:
     /Merchant2/
     Secure Root Directory for Modules:
     /userid/Merchant2/

Note: in the secure calls above, machine must be replaced with the name of the server your domain is located on. This can be found on the front of your SiteMadeEasy Web Control Panel. The userid must be replaced with your user id, for example if your domain was fred.com your userid is fred.


     Please note URL for logging into Miva Administration:
     http://your-domain.com/Merchant2/admin.mv

    Miva will answer any question or problems that may arise during your configuration (generally you can completly setup your shopping cart with no problems).

    Please note that Hosting Masters does not support Miva Merchant, you must contact Miva for support.
