Code Defender makes it difficult for competitors to duplicate your web pages and protects your HTML source code in several ways:

1. Source code compression: Code Defender compresses the code by removing carriage returns, extra spacing, and comments, to make the process of duplicating pages more difficult and tedious.
2. Adding white space: Code Defender can also add blank lines to the top your HTML source code to force impatient competitors look harder for your compressed code.
3. Copyright placement: To protect your hard work, you should ensure that you copyright your pages. Code Defender will insert a copyright notice at the bottom of your pages. Without such a notice, you have little or no legal protection against people copying your code.

Code Defender includes support for command line parameters so that one or more pages can be optimized with a single mouse-click. Updating dozens of pages takes only seconds on most computers.
